Probable Cause

• Using a flat paint that has a very porous film and is vulneralbe to soiling through the absorbtion of dirt

• Applying paint to unprimed surfaces

• Using a flat finish paint in a sheen area such as baths, kitchens, laundry rooms, and halls

Solutions

• Select a paint formulated for heavy duty wear and stain resistance)

• Prime new surfaces with the proper primer and use a premium California Paints finish

• Wash stains promptly with a sponge and liquid detergents
